Sub: Clarification on the news item published in the “https://www.thehindubusinessline.com/”
dated July 14, 2026 captioned “Tata Motors partners with UCO Bank for commercial
vehicle financing”.
With reference to your email/letter dated July 15, 2026, seeking clarification/confirmation in
respect of the above news item, we would like to submit point wise clarification as under:
1. Whether such negotiations were taking place? If so, you are advised to provide the said
information along with the sequence of events in chronological order from the start of
negotiations till date.
- We confirm that the Company has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with
UCO Bank for Commercial Vehicle Financing. This MoU has been executed in the ordinary
course of business and does not contain any binding commercial terms. Accordingly, a
response to the remaining part of the query is not warranted.
2. Whether you/company are aware of any information that has not been announced to the
Exchanges which could explain the aforesaid movement in the trading?
- The Company is not aware of any information that has not been disclosed to the Exchanges
which could account for the movement in the trading of its shares. It has been observed that,
owing to the prevailing geopolitical developments, the Global and Indian indices have
experienced significant volatility over the recent period, which has consequently been
reflected in the share prices of numerous companies. The Company exercises no control
over the active trading in its shares, as such activity is entirely market-driven and the result
of confluence of various global and economic factors.
As set forth in our response to query no. 1, the execution of MoU with UCO Bank for
Commercial Vehicle Financing constitutes a routine operational matter for the Company and
does not meet the threshold of material information under the criteria stipulated in the
Company's Policy for Determination of Materiality of Events or Information ("Policy"), nor
under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements)
Regulations, 2015 ("Listing Regulations"). Accordingly, such matter did not necessitate any
intimation to the stock exchanges.
3. In case of regulatory/legal proceedings please provide the information on initiation / outcome
of the proceedings.
- The aforementioned news item does not pertain to any regulatory/legal proceedings.
The Company will make appropriate disclosures in accordance with Regulation 30 of the Listing
Regulations, as and when required.
