Q2/H1-FY27 Key Operational Highlights
• During Q2 FY27, the Company’s EBITDA improved by 96% while operating revenue declined marginally by 1.5% on a year-on-year basis
• Digital revenue grew 25.6% YoY, driven by B2B licensing deals and higher YouTube ad revenue
• Traditional business performance remained subdued, as the prolonged BARC blackout dampened advertiser sentiment and weighed on
broadcast revenues. Simultaneously, other broadcasters delayed content investments leading to deferred TV B2B licensing deals
• Way forward:
• While the upcoming festive season is expected to boost advertising demand, persistent geopolitical uncertainties and increasing input
costs faced by advertisers may dampen their sentiment and thereby ad spends
• Continuation of the BARC ratings blackout is likely to further weigh on the television industry revenues
• To navigate these challenges, the Company is implementing strategic measures, including cost rationalization across traditional business,
increased investment and focus across digital business and disciplined content investments, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and
safeguarding profitability
