Q2 & H1’FY27
Results Release
Performance Highlights for Q2’FY27
▪ Revenue from Operations for Q2’FY27 grew by 17.6% to ₹ 667.8 Cr as compared to
₹ 567.9 Cr in Q2’FY26.
• Sustained revenue growth was driven by:
− Volume growth, both in domestic and export markets
− Capacity addition (Y-o-Y) and successful new product launches
− Marginally higher ASPs driven by calibrated pricing actions to partially offset
raw material inflation
• Inventory damage due to exceptionally heavy rainfall and flooding, led to a sales
growth loss of estimated 300–350 bps during Q2’FY27
▪ EBITDA for Q2’FY27 moderated by 16.8% to ₹ 82.8 Cr as compared to ₹ 99.5 Cr in
Q2’FY26. EBIDTA margin for Q2’FY27 stood at 12.4% as compared to 17.5% in
Q2’FY26. EBITDA Margin improved sequentially from 12.3% in Q1’FY27.
• Consumption margins improved sequentially, supported by softer raw material
prices during the early part of the quarter, partially offset by a sharp increase in
input costs during the latter half.
• Benefits from improved consumption margins were partly offset by higher
employee expenses arising from temporary under-absorption of fixed
overheads of Reynolds Team due to transitory impact in commencement of
production, marginally affecting EBITDA margins.
▪ PAT for Q2’FY27 moderated by 37.0% to ₹ 38.3 Cr as compared to ₹ 60.9 Cr in Q2’FY26.
PAT margin for Q2’FY27 stood at 5.7% as compared to 10.7% in Q2’FY26.
• Profit After Tax was impacted higher primarily due to exceptional expense of
₹ 10.4 Cr arising from damages caused by heavy rainfall and flooding.
• Relevant insurance claims have been lodged, and the associated recovery is
expected to substantially offset the financial impact in due course.
Performance Highlights for H1’FY27
Revenue from Operations for H1’FY27 grew by 18.4% to ₹ 1,338.3 Cr as compared to
₹ 1,130.2 Cr in H1’FY26, in line with our yearly guided range.
EBITDA for H1’FY27 moderated by 16.6% to ₹ 165.3 Cr as compared to ₹ 198.3 Cr in
H1’FY26. EBIDTA margin for H1’FY27 stood at 12.4% as compared to 17.5% in
H1’FY26.
PAT for H1’FY27 moderated by 30.3% to ₹ 83.6 Cr as compared to ₹ 120.0 Cr in
H1’FY26. PAT margin for H1’FY27 stood at 6.2% as compared to 10.6% in H1’FY26.
Q2 & H1’FY27
Results Release
Commenting on the results and performance, Mr. Santosh Raveshia, Managing Director,
DOMS Industries Limited said:
"We reported another quarter of sustained growth, with revenue increasing by 17.6% year-on-
year in Q2’FY27 and 18.4% in H1’FY27. This growth was supported by healthy volume expansion
across both domestic and export markets, reflecting the strength of our brands, the benefits of
ongoing capacity expansion, and a continued positive market response to our new product
launches.
Growth during the quarter was broad-based, with all our key categories delivering positive
performance. Our Scholastic Stationery, Scholastic Art Material and Office Supplies businesses
continued to benefit from healthy underlying demand, while Hobby & Craft maintained strong
momentum, supported by portfolio expansion and increased manufacturing capacity. The Back-
to-School category also delivered robust growth.
The quarter also presented certain external challenges. Unusually heavy rainfall and flooding in
Gujarat affected sales growth by an estimated 300–350 basis points. In addition, raw material
prices remained volatile amid ongoing geopolitical uncertainties. Despite these headwinds, we
maintained our EBITDA margin at 12.4%, in line with the previous quarter.
I am pleased to share that we have achieved a significant milestone with the commissioning of
the first building at our new 50-acre manufacturing facility. Dedicated to Reynolds pen
production, this building is expected to begin contributing to revenues from Q3’FY27 onwards,
marking an important step in our long-term capacity expansion roadmap.
Looking ahead, we remain encouraged by the positive demand environment across our key
categories and markets and remain confident of delivering our guided consolidated sales growth
of 18–20% for FY27."
