Subject: Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 -
Submission of Updates on expected export growth due to “INDIA–UK FREE TRADE
AGREEMENT “
Dear Sir / Madam,
Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations,
2015, update on expected export growth due to the India–UK Free Trade Agreement as below
Jindal Worldwide Limited, one of India’s leading integrated textile manufacturers, has welcomed the
signing of the India–UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA), describing it as a landmark development that is
expected to significantly enhance the competitiveness of Indian textile exports and create substantial
long-term growth opportunities for the Company.
The India–UK FTA is expected to eliminate tariffs on a wide range of Indian textile and apparel
products, providing Indian manufacturers with a long-awaited level playing field in the UK market. The
agreement is expected to strengthen India’s position as a preferred sourcing destination while
enabling exporters to compete more effectively with countries that already enjoy preferential market
access to the United Kingdom.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Amit Agarwal, Vice-chairman & Managing Director, Jindal
Worldwide Limited, said:
“The India–UK Free Trade Agreement is a landmark achievement for the Indian textile
industry. For years, Indian textile exporters have competed with countries enjoying
preferential market access to the UK. This agreement finally provides Indian manufacturers
with a level playing field, making our products more competitive and opening up significant
opportunities for export-led growth.
At Jindal Worldwide, we see this as a strategic opportunity to further strengthen our
presence in the UK and other global markets. We are confident that the agreement will help
us expand our customer base, deepen relationships with existing clients, and unlock new
business opportunities.
We expect our exports to grow by approximately 15-20% in FY27 and aim to more than
double our exports over the next three years. The India–UK FTA will be a key catalyst in
achieving this growth by improving market access, enhancing our global competitiveness,
and opening new avenues for long-term expansion. With our integrated manufacturing
capabilities, diversified product portfolio, and continued focus on quality, innovation, and
sustainability, we are well-positioned to capitalise on this historic opportunity while creating
sustainable value for our shareholders and all other stakeholders.”
The Company believes the India–UK FTA will not only drive higher export volumes but also facilitate
stronger and more sustainable relationships with international customers, improve supply chain
efficiencies, and reinforce India’s position as a preferred global sourcing hub for textiles and apparel.
Jindal Worldwide continues to invest in expanding its manufacturing capabilities, enhancing product
innovation, adopting sustainable manufacturing practices, and strengthening its global marketing
network. The Company believes the India–UK Free Trade Agreement will play a pivotal role in
accelerating its international growth strategy and further reinforcing its position as one of India’s
leading integrated textile companies.
