The short-term trades have contributed 65% of the volume and balance has been contributed by medium- & long-term contracts. The value adds in the form of energy market insights are provided to our consulting clients. The cross-border power from Bhutan has shown a significant dip due to higher domestic requirement in Bhutan leading to decrease in trading income to that extent. Power demand is expected to remain robust, albeit with seasonal variations, supporting firm short-term power prices. With the introduction of market- oriented initiatives by CERC and policy initiatives of the Ministry of Power on BESS and suitable fiscal incentives, the price is expected to soften as storage capacity gets onstream.
