Appellate Tribunal ('CESTAT'), Mumbai in favour of the Company.
Ref: Our disclosure dated February 23, 2016 regarding receipt of show cause-cum-demand notice dated
February 18, 2016 issued by the Commissioner of Service Tax, Audit-III, Mumbai.
Pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure
Requirements) Regulations, 2015 ('Listing Regulations') and in continuation of our disclosure dated
February 23, 2016, whereby the Company had intimated the stock exchanges regarding receipt of a show
cause-cum-demand notice dated February 18, 2016 received by the company on February 22, 2016,
issued by the Commissioner of Service Tax, Audit III, Mumbai, for Rs.7.87 crore stating that for the
period August 2012 to March 2015 the company has failed to reverse CENVAT Credit as per rules.
The Company had preferred an appeal against the order dated October 31, 2018 (the impugned order) at
appropriate levels and finally the Honb’le CESTAT vide it’s order dated July 15, 2026 did not find any
merits in the impugned order, insofar as it has confirmed the adjudged demands on the company.
Therefore, the impugned order is set aside and appeal is allowed in favour of the appellants.
The same may please be taken on record and suitably disseminated to all concerned.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
For Speciality Restaurants Limited
