Srividya Venkataraman (DIN: 09548415) has been appointed on the Board of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited as Director – Finance & she has assumed the charge as Director – Finance effective today. Consequently, the additional charge of Director – Finance entrusted to Shri K S Shetty, Director - Human Resources has concluded. As indicated in the MOP&NG letter, the term of appointment of Smt. Srividya Venkataraman is for a period of five years w.e.f. the date of her assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of her superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest. Srividya Venkataraman Ms. Srividya Venkataraman is a distinguished finance professional with over three decades of experience in the Indian energy sector. A Chartered Accountant and Cost & Works Accountant, she brings extensive expertise across treasury management, taxation, risk management, investor relations, capital markets, and business finance, having served in a wide range of leadership positions across the petroleum industry. Prior to joining Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) as Director - Finance, she served as Executive Director - Corporate Treasury at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), where she was responsible for Treasury, Insurance, Investor Relations, Pension Fund Investments, Pricing and Taxation. In this role, she played a pivotal role in managing the corporation’s capital structure, investment strategy, risk management framework, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. Under her leadership, BPCL successfully mobilized project finance exceeding ₹30,000 crore for strategic growth initiatives and strengthened its financial position through innovative treasury and capital management measures. Over the course of her distinguished career, Ms. Srividya has held several key leadership assignments in BPCL across Treasury, Retail, and LPG businesses. As Finance Head of the Retail Business, she contributed significantly to business growth, network expansion, digital transformation, cost optimization, and governance enhancement. During her tenure in the LPG business, she played an important role in the successful implementation of the flagship Government initiatives, such as, the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme and the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), facilitating efficient subsidy transfers and expanding access to clean cooking fuel across the country. She has been instrumental in several landmark financial initiatives, including BPCL’s maiden international bond issuance, large-scale external commercial borrowings, pension fund management, strategic investment planning, insurance optimization, and strengthening investor engagement. She has also led the implementation of digital finance solutions that enhanced operational efficiency, transparency, and governance across business functions. Ms. Srividya has served on the Boards of Kannur International Airport Limited, BPCL KIAL Fuel Farm Facilities Pvt. Limited, and FFPL Finserv Private Limited, contributing significantly to corporate governance and strategic oversight.
