PRESS RELEASE
Kilburn Engineering Approves ₹25 Crore Investment to Significantly
Expand Precision Engineering Capacity for Data Centre and Power
Infrastructure
Expansion builds on long-standing customer relationships, including with Vertiv, and positions the business
for growing requirements in India and international markets
Precision engineering business expects ₹50–60 crore revenue in FY2026–27; expanded operations estimated
to support approximately ₹150 crore in annual revenue potential at scale
Kolkata | 30 October 2026
Kilburn Engineering Limited today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a strategic capital
investment of up to ₹25 crore to expand the precision engineering and manufacturing capabilities of its subsidiary,
Monga Strayfield Private Limited, at its Pune facility.
The proposed investment is aimed at substantially enhancing the business’s precision engineering and
manufacturing capabilities for enclosures, cabinets and assemblies serving data centre infrastructure,
transformers and critical power applications. The capacity expansion is planned to be implemented progressively
over the next six to nine months, with commissioning and utilisation aligned to operational readiness and
customer requirements.
The Group’s precision engineering business is currently expected to generate revenue of approximately ₹50–60
crore during FY2026–27. Based on the envisaged product mix, utilisation levels and a combination of in-house
manufacturing and selective outsourcing, the expanded operations are estimated to have the potential to support
annual revenue of approximately ₹150 crore at scale. The pace of revenue growth will be aligned with customer
requirements and the progressive ramp-up of manufacturing operations.
Building on Long-Standing Customer Relationships
Monga Strayfield has an established, long-standing business relationship with Vertiv Energy Private Limited, part
of Vertiv, a global leader in critical digital infrastructure. This relationship predates Kilburn Engineering’s
acquisition of Monga Strayfield.
The proposed capacity expansion is intended to strengthen Monga Strayfield’s ability to serve the growing
requirements of Vertiv and its other customers in India, and to position the business to pursue opportunities in
international markets for precision-engineered enclosures, cabinets and assemblies.
The planned capacity has been sized with reference to the anticipated requirements of Monga Strayfield’s
established customer base. The investment is intended to strengthen the company’s manufacturing capabilities
and support growing demand for precision-engineered enclosures, cabinets and assemblies across data centre
infrastructure, transformers and critical power applications.
Building a Broader Precision Engineering Platform
Beyond the current investment, Kilburn Engineering intends to leverage the combined engineering expertise and
manufacturing infrastructure of Monga Strayfield, M.E. Energy and Kilburn Engineering across Ambernath, Kalyan
and Pune. The Group will progressively evaluate additional product categories and solutions in data centre
infrastructure, critical power, transformer equipment and thermal management, with further investments
considered in line with customer requirements and commercial opportunities.
Management Commentary
Mr. Amritanshu Khaitan, Chairman, Kilburn Engineering Limited, commented:
“Our investment in Monga Strayfield reflects our confidence in the opportunities emerging across data centre
infrastructure, critical power systems and the transformer industry. Monga Strayfield’s long-standing relationship
with Vertiv and its other established customers provides a strong foundation for this expansion, which positions
the business to serve growing requirements in India and to pursue opportunities in international markets.
We see this investment as an important step towards building a larger precision engineering platform for the
Kilburn Group. By leveraging the manufacturing facilities and engineering capabilities across our Group
companies, we intend to progressively expand our product portfolio and address additional opportunities in these
high-growth sectors, while scaling the business in a disciplined and capital-efficient manner.”
