PRESS RELEASE
Wanbury Limited Receives Australian TGA GMP Compliance Certificate for its Tanuku Plant,
Strengthening its Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Credentials.
Mumbai, 30 October 2026: Wanbury Limited is pleased to announce that its manufacturing
facility at Tanuku, Andhra Pradesh, has successfully received the Good Manufacturing Practice
(GMP) Compliance Certificate from Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), the
regulatory authority responsible for therapeutic goods in Australia.
The certification marks an important milestone in Wanbury's commitment to manufacturing
excellence, stringent quality standards and strengthening its presence in regulated international
pharmaceutical markets.
Following a successful inspection conducted by the TGA on 8–9 June 2026, the Australian
regulatory authority confirmed that the manufacturing facility complies with the applicable
Good Manufacturing Practice requirements outlined in the PIC/S Guide to Good Manufacturing
Practice for Medicinal Products.
The certificate covers the manufacturing of the following six Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
(APIs):
1. Metformin Hydrochloride
2. Tramadol Hydrochloride
3. Sertraline Hydrochloride
4. Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride
5. Mefenamic Acid
6. Paroxetine Hydrochloride Hemihydrate
The certificate was issued on 28 October 2026 and is valid until 9 December 2028, subject to the
TGA's applicable re-inspection requirements.
With this approval, the TGA will proceed with issuing GMP clearances to Australian sponsors
associated with the manufacturing facility, enabling the necessary regulatory clearances for the
supply of the approved APIs to the Australian market.
A Step Forward in Global Growth
This achievement reinforces Wanbury's focus on building globally compliant manufacturing
capabilities and expanding its footprint across international markets. Recognition by a stringent
regulatory authority such as Australia's TGA further strengthens the company's quality
credentials and its ability to serve customers and partners in regulated pharmaceutical markets.
The certification represents another significant milestone in Wanbury's journey towards
operational excellence, regulatory compliance and sustainable business growth.
