RPG Life Sciences sustained strong growth momentum in Q2 crossing the ₹200 crore quarterly revenue
milestone. Revenue from Operations grew 16.5% to ₹211.6 crore. The acquired sites contributed ₹0.5 crore
in Q2 and full revenue contribution from both sites will commence from Q3 onwards, owing to transaction
closure in end-September. Along with strong revenue growth, gross margin also expanded by 260 bps in Q2
despite a challenging external environment and industry tailwinds.
Q2 Adjusted EBITDA grew 15.0% to ₹50.1 crore (Reported EBITDA considering the impact of the
abovementioned one-offs is ₹44.7 crore). Also, adjusted PBT before the above one-offs grew by 11.3%,
supported by topline growth, strategic initiatives and operating discipline.
Domestic Formulations continued to outperform the market in FY27, led by strong volume growth and
performance across specialty therapies. RPG Life Sciences achieved 11.6% growth and became the 4th
fastest-growing pharmaceutical company in IPM, entering ‘Top 50’ IPM ranking*.
International Formulations revived its growth trajectory, growing at 6.4% in Q2 and 7.0% in H1, supported
by growth across key products and markets. The business is building its next phase of growth through new
market registrations, CDMO opportunities, focused business development and cost-competitive initiatives.
API business organically delivered a strong quarter with ₹27.5 crore sale in Q2 and ₹54.1 crore sale in H1.
What’s important to note is that the API business saw significant expansion during the quarter. RPGLS
transferred its API business to RPG Active Pharma, onboarded InvAscent, healthcare and life sciences
focused PE firm, as a strategic investor, and completed the acquisitions of 2 API plants - Actis Generics and
Raghava Lifesciences. The expanded network has five times the manufacturing capacity, four times the
reactors, three times the products and pipeline molecules, and twice the customer and employee base.
Commenting on the results and business outlook, Mr. Ashok Nair, Managing Director, RPG Life Sciences
Ltd., said: “We have delivered another strong quarter with 16.5% revenue growth and 15% adjusted EBITDA
growth, while maintaining healthy margins despite external cost pressures. More importantly, the quality of
growth remains strong. Domestic Formulations continues to outperform the market, supported by volume
growth, specialty therapies and new launches, while our API base business recorded significant growth during
the quarter.
The creation of RPG Active Pharma and the acquisitions of Actis and Raghava mark an important step in our
API strategy. With the transactions completed, our focus is now on integration and value creation through
higher asset utilization, deeper customer engagement, international expansion, and cost improvement. Going
forward, we will continue to strengthen Domestic Formulations, build a more competitive International
Formulations business, and systematically scale the expanded API business. These priorities give us a clear
path to sustained and profitable growth.”
