To obviate instant dispute, the Company had already deposited all the differential tax liability under protest and is paying tax liability thereafter. An order was issued under section 74 of the GST Act by the Office of the Commissioner of Central Goods and Service Tax, Gurugram Commissionerate on account of misclassification of goods (Two-wheeler seats) under wrong HSN. The said order under GST Act: i) Confirmed the demand and appropriated the amount of Rs. 4.96 crores against the demand confirmed for the period from FY 2020-21 to FY 2023-24 (up to January 2024). The said amount has already been deposited by the Company under protest. ii)Imposed a penalty of Rs. 4.96 crores on the matter as s tated above and interest, as applicable. Impact on financial, operation or other The Company is in the process of filing an appeal activities of the listed entity, quantifiable in against the aforesaid Order before the Commissioner of monetary terms to the extent possible.
