The order is valued at INR 1,140 crore (incl. of taxes) and reflects the Company’s sustained execution record on Indian Railways’ wagon procurement programme. Alongside its Indian Railways business, JWL’s private sector order book remains strong, supported by steady demand from private freight operators, wagon leasing companies and core sector customers. This balance between government and private demand continues to give the Company a diversified and resilient order pipeline. Building on the present award, JWL expects incremental order inflows of approximately INR 2,000 crore in Q4 FY27. The sector’s near-term demand outlook is further strengthened by the Ministry of Railways’ recently released tender for the procurement of 5,800 BOBRN wagons.
