Thanking you, Yours faithfully, For, Arvind Limited Pritesh Shah Company Secretary Encl. as above Media Release Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Inaugurates Arvind Limited's Greenfield Garment Manufacturing Facility in Varanasi, U(cid:425)ar Pradesh Varanasi, U(cid:425)ar Pradesh, October 25, 2026: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated Arvind Limited's state-of-the-art garment manufacturing facility in Varanasi, U(cid:425)ar Pradesh, in the presence of Smt. Anandiben Patel, Hon’ble Governor of U(cid:425)ar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath, Hon'ble Chief Minister of U(cid:425)ar Pradesh, senior government officials and industry leaders. Developed with an investment of approximately ₹150 crore, the facility is Arvind's first manufacturing unit in U(cid:425)ar Pradesh. Spread across a sprawling landscape of 5.5 acres and with a total built up area of approximately 65,000 sq. (cid:332)., the plant has a revenue poten(cid:415)al of Rs 250 Cr and is expected to generate employment for over 1,000 people, predominantly women, and manufacture essen(cid:415)al knitwear products using advanced automated sewing technologies. It was a proud moment for the Arvind family to welcome our beloved Prime Minister Mr Modi who was received by Mr. Sanjay Lalbhai, Chairman, Arvind Limited, Mr. Punit Lalbhai, Vice Chairman, and Mr. Kulin Lalbhai, Vice Chairman, who accompanied him during the inaugura(cid:415)on and toured the facility. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sanjay Lalbhai, Chairman, Arvind Limited, said, " We are deeply honoured to have the Hon'ble Prime Minister inaugurate this facility. The said facility will forward integrate Arvind’s inhouse manufactured Kni(cid:425)ed Fabric, which will enhance its share of wallet with exis(cid:415)ng customers and increase s(cid:415)ckiness. The facility adds much needed Garment manufacturing capacity to the country’s large Tex(cid:415)le heavy landscape. With the recently signed FTAs, this facility will adequately strengthen the basket of offering to the newly opened European and UK market. The facility has been developed as a modern manufacturing hub with a focus on efficiency, sustainability and workforce welfare. Equipped with advanced automated produc(cid:415)on systems, the plant is designed to enhance produc(cid:415)vity, ensure consistent quality and support scalable manufacturing opera(cid:415)ons. Arvind has also established dedicated worker hostels to support employees and plans to further expand residen(cid:415)al infrastructure as opera(cid:415)ons grow. The project is expected to contribute significantly to the economic development of Varanasi and U(cid:425)ar Pradesh through employment genera(cid:415)on, skill development and the strengthening of the local apparel manufacturing ecosystem. In addi(cid:415)on to crea(cid:415)ng over 1,000 direct jobs, the facility is expected to support ancillary economic ac(cid:415)vity across supply chains, logis(cid:415)cs and local services, further reinforcing U(cid:425)ar Pradesh's emergence as a preferred des(cid:415)na(cid:415)on for tex(cid:415)le and apparel manufacturing.
