Aurobindo Pharma is among a select group of global generic manufacturers to have signed this agreement. The royalty-free agreement will enable supply of generic alimatravir to cover 129 Low- & Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) which account for the majority of new HIV diagnoses globally, subject to applicable regulatory approvals and requirements. Executing these agreements before Phase 3 trial enrollment is completed is a first in HIV prevention and is intended to enable the right scale-up where Aurobindo Pharma is licensed to manufacture and supply generic alimatravir, which will meet internationally recognized standards following regulatory approvals. “At Aurobindo Pharma, expanding access to high-quality, affordable medicines remains central to our purpose.
