Bengaluru, October 23, 2026: TruAlt Bioenergy Limited, India’s largest ethanol producer by installed capacity and the country’s only dedicated listed biofuels company, today announced its financial results for the second quarter and half year ended September 30, 2026. The Company reported a strong improvement in revenue and profitability, supported by its ethanol operations and investment in dual-feed integration. H1 FY27 revenue from operations increased to ₹1,437.98 crore from ₹418.75 crore a year earlier. EBITDA rose to ₹233.92 crore from ₹36.99 crore, while profit after tax stood at ₹94.27 crore, against a loss of ₹33.27 crore in H1 FY26. Operational Update: Dual-Feed Investment Strengthens the Ethanol Platform Following the integration undertaken in the previous financial year, TruAlt’s ethanol platform now includes 1,300 KLPD of dual-feed capability within its total installed capacity of 2,000 KLPD across 5 manufacturing units in Karnataka. This investment enabled the Company to process both sugar-based and grain-based feedstocks, providing greater flexibility to adapt production to seasonal availability and procurement economics. It supports longer operating cycles and creates opportunities to improve asset utilisation, production continuity and operating efficiency. The results demonstrate progress in translating these capabilities into financial performance. While higher maize prices moderated margins during Q2, TruAlt’s dual-feed capabilities provide greater flexibility to optimise its feedstock mix in response to changing market conditions. The Company remains focused on strengthening procurement efficiency and cost management to support resilient operating performance and sustainable profitability. For Q2 FY27, revenue from operations grew approximately 606% year-on-year, with an EBITDA margin of 12.47% Commenting on the performance, Vijay Nirani, Managing Director, TruAlt Bioenergy Limited, said: “Our H1 results reflect the benefits of our investment in strengthening TruAlt’s ethanol platform. Dual-feed integration has enhanced our ability to navigate seasonal feedstock constraints, extend production cycles and improve operating continuity. With this capability now covering 65% of our installed ethanol capacity, we have a stronger foundation to increase utilisation and respond to changing feedstock economics. India’s ethanol blending programme provides an established demand base and our priority is to translate our manufacturing capabilities into higher capacity utilisation and consistent production. Our feedstock flexibility, supported by disciplined procurement and efficient operations, enables us to adapt to market conditions, including higher maize prices during Q2. PRESS RELEASE CBG remains a key pillar of our diversification strategy. Four plants are under construction through our partnership with Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo Corporation, while we continue to advance our joint venture with Maharatna PSU GAIL (India) Limited. Our focus remains on dependable feedstock supply, secured offtake and phased commissioning. Despite potential constraints on sugar-based feedstock availability nationally, we remain well positioned to meet the requirements of our CBG operations and planned capacity additions. Our proposed Sustainable Aviation Fuel facility at Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, offers an opportunity to extend our bioenergy platform into a higher-value market and participate in aviation’s transition towards lower-carbon fuels. We are advancing the project’s technical, regulatory and commercial foundations, with engineering, statutory approvals, stakeholder engagement and financing as key priorities. Across these initiatives, our approach remains consistent: strengthen our core operations, execute projects with discipline and deploy capital responsibly to deliver sustainable, long-term value,” Nirani added. Industry Outlook: Feedstock Flexibility Creates a Utilisation Opportunity India’s installed annual ethanol capacity of approximately 2,000 crore litres provides a substantial production base. The indicative ESY 2026-27 assessment presented by the Company projects supply of approximately 1,204 crore litres against estimated demand of 1,200 crore litres. This narrow supply cushion highlights the importance of reliable production and dependable feedstock access. The assessment assumes a lower contribution from sugar-based ethanol, reflecting potential weather-related constraints on sugarcane availability. Grain-based and dual-feed facilities therefore have an important role in supporting domestic blending requirements. TruAlt’s dual-feed platform positions the Company to respond to these conditions by adjusting its production mix and extending operating periods. Unlocking this potential will depend on reliable access to FCI rice and alternative grains, viable procurement prices and predictable OMC allocations. A recovery in sugarcane availability over subsequent harvest cycles could further strengthen the industry’s supply balance. Strategic Partnerships and Growth Pipeline Compressed Biogas: TruAlt continues to advance its development programme covering four CBG plants with Sumitomo Corporation and six additional projects with GAIL. Feedstock security, offtake arrangements and phased commissioning remain central to execution. Sustainable Aviation Fuel: The Company is progressing its proposed 100 million litres per annum SAF facility at Srikakulam, Andhra [Showing first 8,000 characters — download PDF for full document]
