Management Commentary
P a t i e n t F i r s t
“I am pleased to share that, following successful negotiations with the landowner, the Board
has approved the acquisition of the land currently leased for our Pune South hospital. The
land measures 11,452.07 sq. m. and the total consideration is Rs 150 cr. The Rs 50 cr deposit
paid earlier will be adjusted against this, so the incremental cash outflow is limited to Rs 100
cr. Owning the land removes long-term lease risk and strengthens our asset base at one of
our key growth locations.
Construction at Pune South is progressing well and remains on schedule. The Mira Road and
BKC projects are currently in the regulatory approval and planning stages.
Our Dombivli hospital saw a higher infectious-disease burden this quarter, which drove
Dr. Ankit Thakker higher occupancy compared with the previous quarter. This helped narrow its EBITDA loss to
Rs 0.2 cr for the period. Our other three hospitals continued to perform in line with
MD & CEO
expectations.”
