Q1FY27 Highlights:  EBITDA stood at ₹756 crore, up 35% YoY, marking a stellar start to the financial year.  PAT jumped nearly threefold YoY to ₹1,046 crore. PAT without exceptional items grew 42% YoY to ₹ 499 crore.  ROCE improved to 23.1% and net cash position further strengthened to ₹2,336 crore after incurring capex of ₹834 crore.  Current global order book stands at ~₹24,750 crore.  East Pipes Integrated Company for Industry (EPIC), KSA, our associate company, delivered double-digit revenue, EBITDA and profit growth.  Announced projects are progressing well, with new capacities in USA and KSA set to be commissioned in FY27.  Strengthening our sustainability commitment, WCL’s Bhopal facility achieved Zero Waste to Landfill – Platinum Category for FY 2025–26, marking consistent progress towards responsible manufacturing. Business Environment:  USA: Medium to long-term demand visibility, supported by rising LNG exports, increasing domestic power infrastructure requirements driven by AI data centres, and renewed investments in both onshore and offshore oil pipeline infrastructure.  KSA: Investments in onshore and offshore O&G projects, water infrastructure, reconstruction opportunities across the Middle East, and Hydrogen & CCUS initiatives are expected to support sustained pipeline demand.  India: o Line Pipes: Government's continued focus on National Gas Grid, City Gas Distribution, refinery capacity expansion and other strategic initiatives are expected to drive demand for O&G pipelines. Irrigation and river interlinking projects and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), serve as key demand drivers for water pipelines. Strong export focus remains another vector of growth. o DI Pipes: Strong export potential to Europe, Middle East & Africa. Strategically focusing on pig iron exports also as funding constraints persist and could continue for a longer time frame impacting domestic DI Pipe market. o Stainless Steel Bars and Seamless Pipes: Strong emphasis on domestic manufacturing through the ‘Make in India’ initiative and growing investment in Thermal and Nuclear Energy, Defence, Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals sectors is expected to stimulate demand. o Water Storage Tanks and Plastic Pipes: Strong brand equity of ‘Sintex’, supported by momentum in the economy segment and premiumisation initiatives continued to strengthen the water storage tanks business. Strategic investments towards channel expansion will drive further penetration and scale. The plastic pipes business extended its footprint to 11 states. Approvals and accreditation of OPVC Pipes across states is gaining strong momentum.
