"Q2FY27 was marked by healthy demand trends and strong operational execution, with Q2
consolidated revenue up 31% and PAT up 43% year-on-year. IGI is category-neutral by design -
certifying natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, jewelry and colored gemstones to give buyers and
sellers independent, consistent assurance of what they are buying. Lab-grown diamonds have started
to witness higher adoption, while natural diamonds and gemstones remain a key growth lever for us.
As the industry enters its peak festive season in India and the US holiday ordering cycle ramps up,
retailers and manufacturers are positioning for higher demand, and we are seeing encouraging trends
across all our business segments. Backed by our global footprint, diversified certification portfolio and
continued investments in technology, brand and customer engagement, we remain well positioned to
capitalize on these opportunities and drive sustainable long-term growth.”
Industry Trends and Strategic Outlook
The global gems and jewelry industry is witnessing a gradual broadening of growth drivers, with value
creation increasingly shifting beyond traditional diamond categories. Manufacturers, retailers and
brands are expanding product offerings across lab-grown diamonds, colored gemstones and
customised jewelry, reflecting a more diversified consumer landscape and creating new opportunities
across the industry ecosystem.
India continues to strengthen its position as a strategic hub for the global jewelry industry, supported
by its manufacturing capabilities, skilled workforce and growing domestic consumption. Industry
stakeholders are increasingly focused on moving up the value chain through branded products,
innovation and stronger engagement with end consumers across international markets.
Technology is also becoming a more important differentiator across the sector. The adoption of AI,
automation and digital workflows is helping improve efficiency, consistency and turnaround times
across various stages of the jewelry value chain. As product categories expand and consumer
expectations evolve, industry participants are investing in capabilities that support scalability,
accuracy and enhanced customer experience.
Against this backdrop, IGI remains focused on strengthening its global platform through investments
in technology, laboratory capabilities and market development initiatives. Our diversified exposure
across natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds, jewelry and colored gemstones provides multiple
avenues of growth, while our global footprint positions us to benefit from evolving industry trends
and increasing participation across the broader jewelry ecosystem.
