Commenting on the results and performance, Mr. Anurag Choudhary, CMD & CEO of
Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd said:
“We are pleased to report another robust quarter, achieving new performance milestones
with consolidated H1 FY27 revenue surpassing ₹3,000 crore, EBITDA exceeding ₹600 crore,
and PAT exceeding ₹450 crore. These achievements establish a new benchmark for Himadri
and reflect the strength of our strategy, disciplined execution and continued focus on
higher-value products.
Our sustainable growth in profitability is driven by an optimised product mix, growth in
our core businesses and an expanding portfolio of speciality and advanced materials. Years
of investment in R&D, innovation, customer relationships and strategic global partnerships
have enabled us to diversify revenue streams, strengthen our competitive position and
build a more resilient, future-ready business with significant growth potential.
During the quarter, the proposed merger of Birla Tyres business with Himadri marked an
important step towards creating an integrated tyre value chain, leveraging our capabilities
across feedstock, speciality carbon black, R&D and manufacturing.
We strengthened our investment in Sicona Battery Technologies, which has completed
100% acquisition of Advano (USA), strengthening silicon anode IP and adding US pilot
plant, R&D and cell-testing capabilities. Sicona has also secured AUD 45 million in funding
from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) to accelerate the
commercialization of its next-generation silicon-carbon anode technology. Our strategic
investment in International Battery Company (IBC) provides Himadri a unique platform
spanning material validation, cell development and commercial deployment, positioning us
at the forefront of the lithium-ion value chain while creating a powerful pathway from
materials innovation to commercial adoption, thereby unlocking new growth opportunities
in the global energy transition.
As global supply chains realign, our deep R&D expertise is strengthening domestic
capabilities in critical advanced materials like Carbon Nano Tube, Super Speciality
Carbon Black, Silicon Carbon, LFP Cathode, Synthetic Anode etc; reducing import
dependence and advancing India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
Looking ahead, our focus remains on sustaining this growth momentum, accelerating the
commercialisation of advanced materials, strengthening our global presence and
unlocking opportunities across emerging technologies. Backed by strong R&D
capabilities, strategic partnerships and an increasingly diversified portfolio, we are
confident of transforming Himadri into a leading global advanced materials and
application driven solution company while delivering sustainable growth and long-term
value for our stakeholders”
