Scrip code: CSBBANK Dear Sir/Madam, Sub: Clarification / Confirmation on news item appearing in “Media/ Publication” Ref: NSE E-mail and letter dated October 15, 2026, seeking clarification under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 ("SEBI Listing Regulations”) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This has reference to your letter No. NSE/CM/Surveillance/17717 dated October 15, 2026, seeking clarification on the news item appeared on the website ‘www.livemint.com’ on October 15, 2026, captioned “CSB Bank merger with IDBI Bank likely after Fairfax deal.” In this regard, we would like to categorically state that the Bank is not aware of the background of the said news item or the factual correctness thereof the contents. Further the Bank has no information regarding the matters reported therein and is not involved in any negotiations and discussions, or events, or developments of the nature referred to in the news item. With specific reference to the queries raised by the Exchange, our responses are set out below: a) Whether such negotiations/events were taking place? If so, provide the said information along with the sequence of events in chronological order from the start of negotiations/events till date. Response: The Bank has no information regarding any negotiations, discussions or events referred to in the aforesaid news item relating to the Bank. Consequently, the question of providing a sequence of events does not arise. b) Whether the Company is aware of any information that has not been announced to the Exchanges which could explain the movement in trading, if any? Further, provide the said information and the reasons for not disclosing the same to the Exchange earlier as required under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015.
