We had intimated the exchange regarding the receipt of order under section 73 of the SGST Act, 2017 raising demand pursuant to the assessment order passed by the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Bandra West 502, Nodal Division – 6, Mumbai, Maharashtra dated August 28, 2024, for the year 2019-20. We had also intimated that the Company will be filing an appeal against the said order before The Commissioner (Appeals). In connection with the same, we have now received the order from the Joint Commissioner of State Tax (Appeal–IV) partially allowing the demand order passed by the Deputy Commissioner. Based on the merits of the matter, prevailing law and the advice of the consultant, the Company is planning to appeal against this order in line with the provision of Section 112 of SGST Act, 2017 and reasonably expect favourable order from the appellate authorities.
