CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
Dear Shareholders,
It gives me immense pleasure to address you as the Chairman and Managing Director of ITI Limited
and to reflect upon the Company’s performance and progress during the Financial Year 2025–26. The
year has been one of continued transformation, strengthening of capabilities and renewed focus across
Telecommunications, Defence, Electronics, Digital Infrastructure and Renewable Energy.
At the outset, I extend my sincere gratitude to all our stakeholders—our employees, customers, partners,
Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunications, government agencies, bankers,
shareholders and other stakeholders—for their continued trust, support and confidence in ITI Limited.
The achievements of the Company are a reflection of the collective commitment and dedication of our
workforce.
During FY 2025–26, ITI Limited achieved a turnover of Rs 2,465 crore. The Company recorded a Profit
After Tax of Rs 293 crore during the year. Our order book stood at approximately Rs 18,637 crore,
comprising major strategic projects including ASCON Phase-IV and the three BharatNet Phase-III (ABP)
packages currently under execution, covering NE-II comprising Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh,
West Bengal & Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Himachal Pradesh. This strong order position provides
a robust foundation for the Company’s future growth.
ITI continues to strengthen its position as a strategic technology and execution partner for the Government of India and various State Governments. The Company
is currently executing major national programmes including ASCON Phase-IV, BharatNet Phase-III (ABP), NFS and TANFINET, while continuing to contribute to
the expansion of secure and reliable telecommunications infrastructure across the country.
A significant achievement during the year was ITI’s successful participation in 4G LTE-R trial projects for Indian Railways. ITI secured projects from RDSO and
RailTel for deployment of LTE-R systems in the South Central Railway zone, with the Bengaluru Plant manufacturing and supplying indigenous RRHs and BBUs
for these trials. This demonstrates ITI’s growing capabilities in next-generation railway communication infrastructure.
ITI also continued to contribute to the electoral infrastructure of the country through the manufacturing and supply of EVMs to the West Bengal State Election
Commission. The Company’s Defence business remained an important pillar of its strategic portfolio, with orders secured for advanced encryption and secure
communication systems for organisations including PMO DCN, Eastern Command, NSIL and CAIR. ITI’s long-standing expertise in indigenous encryption
technologies continues to support the secure communication requirements of the Armed Forces and other strategic organisations.
Our commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat is reflected in the continued development and manufacturing of indigenous products such as Defence Encryptors, 4G
Radio equipment, EVMs, Optical Fibre Cables, HDPE ducts, ONTs, OLTs, Outdoor Cabinets, Smart Racks, laptops and solar-energy products. The Company has
also expanded its capabilities into contract manufacturing, creating additional opportunities for growth and better utilisation of its manufacturing infrastructure.
Our manufacturing units across Bengaluru, Palakkad, Mankapur, Raebareli, Naini and Srinagar continued to contribute to the Company’s diversified business
portfolio. Bengaluru remained an important centre for Telecom, Defence and Electronics manufacturing, while Palakkad strengthened its capabilities in space
electronics, IT hardware and Electronic Manufacturing Services. Mankapur continued to support BharatNet and telecom infrastructure through HDPE ducts,
Smart Racks, GPON products and other electronic and mechanical products. Raebareli continued its contribution to national Telecom and Defence infrastructure
through Optical Fibre Cables, GPON systems and SMPS services. Naini further strengthened its presence in renewable energy and strategic infrastructure through
solar projects and other national initiatives. The Srinagar Unit continues to serve as a major office supporting the execution of ITI’s Defence projects, particularly
the ASCON Phase-IV Project.
Our R&D Division continued to focus on indigenous development of Encryption systems, Network Solutions, EVMs, Digital Mobile Radio, Smart Energy Meters,
Power Supply Modules and other strategic products. These efforts are central to ITI’s vision of developing and manufacturing technology solutions that contribute
ANNUAL REPORT 2025 - 26
to national self-reliance and technological advancement.
ITI is also expanding its presence in emerging areas such as Data Centres, Cloud Services, Cyber Security and Start-up ecosystems. Our Bengaluru Data Centre
continues to provide secure hosting, cloud, managed infrastructure and digital services to government, public-sector and private-sector customers. The Security
Operations Centre provides round-the-clock cybersecurity monitoring and managed security services, while the Start-up Hub is fostering collaboration with
emerging technology companies in areas including Electronics, Defence and IT infrastructure.
As experienced employees retire from the organisation, ITI is also taking steps to induct young employees through the Young Professional Scheme. The infusion
of young talent is bringing fresh ideas, new skills and greater technological adaptability into the organisation. These young employees are helping ITI respond
to rapid technological changes and are also contributing to the execution of projects in challenging and geographically difficult locations. This combination of
experience and youthful talent is strengthening the organisation’s ability to meet evolving technological and operational requirements.
As part of its efforts to overcome cash constraints and reduce financial liabilities, ITI has also undertaken strategic monetisation of its land assets. During the
year, the Company sold a parcel of land to the GST authorities for around Rs 914 crore. The proceeds have helped reduce the Company’s outstanding loans,
thereby bringing down the monthly interest outgo and strengthening its financial position.
As we look ahead, ITI is well positioned to leverage the opportunities emerging from India’s digital transformation, expansion of Telecom networks, Defence
modernisation, indigenous electronics manufacturing, renewable energy and secure digital infrastructure. We remain committed to innovation, quality, operational
efficiency and customer-centric execution, while contributing to the Government of India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
I sincerely appreciate the dedication of our employees and thank the Ministry of Communications, Department of Telecommunications, customers, partners,
bankers, shareholders
