As the lead member of a consortium with Italy-based BLUE Engineering S.r.l., the Company will undertake the interior design of the Vande Bharat sleeper trainset, further strengthening its presence in India’s railway sector. Contract scope and execution The ₹34.85 crores contract comprises two key components covering the interior design of the Vande Bharat sleeper trainset and associated development work Interior Design: Comprehensive interior design of the Vande Bharat sleeper trainset, accounting for ₹30.93 crores of the total contract value Associated development work: The additional development component specified in the contract, valued at ₹3.93 crores The entire scope is scheduled to be completed within 12 months from the date of issuance of the Letter of Acceptance Expanding Airfloa’s role in railway engineering The contract represents a step forward in Airfloa’s participation in specialised railway projects, extending its engagement into interior design and associated development for a major passenger rail programme.
