The recognition celebrates Augmont’s contribution to digital innovation, consumer engagement and the use of technology to shape the evolving jewellery and gold/silver ecosystem. The award was presented at the IIJA 2026 Awards Ceremony, held on October 2, 2026, at The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake. Organised by the India Bullion & Jewellers Association (IBJA) and Tefla’s, the awards brought together leaders, entrepreneurs, creators and stakeholders from across the jewellery value chain to recognise excellence and emerging contributions to the industry. Selected by the IIJA 2026 jury, the award recognises Augmont’s technology-led approach to making gold more accessible and convenient for both consumers and businesses. At the heart of its digital ecosystem are SPOT, its platform for jewellers and bullion traders, and Augmont.com, which enables consumers to invest in Digital Gold and Gold SIPs, as well as purchase gold and silver coins and jewellery online. As of 30 June 2026, Augmont’s ecosystem comprised 231 fintech partnerships, 5,271 registered members on SPOT and 5,517 retail touchpoints. Commenting on the recognition, Ketan Kothari, Whole-Time Director, Augmont, said, “This recognition reflects the collective efforts of our team and our continued focus on using technology to make gold more convenient and accessible for consumers. We have always focused on building platforms like augmont.com and Augmont SPOT that make these experiences more seamless and trusted. Being the first recipient of this award at the inaugural IIJA is particularly meaningful for us.
