Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) today announced its financial results for the
quarter ended June 30, 2026. The performance reflects the impact of the ongoing West Asia crisis
and also HPCL’s resilient performance on refining and marketing even in these challenging times.
Financial Performance
Revenue from Operations
o Q1 FY27: ₹ 1,45,126 crore (₹ 1,20,135 crore in Q1 FY26)
Gross Refining Margin before Export Cess (GRM)
o Q1 FY27: US$ 23.80 per barrel (US$ 3.08 per barrel in Q1 FY26)
Standalone Profit/Loss After Tax
o Q1 FY27: Net Loss ₹ (11,526) crore (PAT ₹ 4,371 crore in Q1 FY26)
Consolidated Profit/Loss After Tax
o Q1 FY27: Net Loss ₹ (12,265) crore (PAT ₹ 4,111 crore in Q1 FY26)
Operational Performance
Refining Performance:
Refineries recorded crude throughput of 6.52 MMT during 1QFY27, operating at 107% of
the capacity.
o Visakh Refinery registered crude throughput of 3.97 MMT, operating at 106 % of its
capacity
o Mumbai Refinery registered crude throughput of 2.55 MMT, operating at 108 % of its
capacity
During the quarter, 2 (two) new grades of crude oil were processed by the refineries.

Sales Volume:
1QFY27 Sales (including exports): 13.12 MMT (↑ 0.6 % YoY)
o Domestic Sales Growth: (0.1) %
o Combined sale of Petrol (MS) and Diesel (HSD): 8.8 MMT (↑8.1% YoY)
o Total LPG sales: 1,729 TMT
o Pipeline Throughput: 6.61 MMT
Strategic Investments and Infrastructure Development
Capex in 1QFY27: ₹ 1,734 crore – focused on strengthening refining and marketing
infrastructure, including investments in subsidiaries and joint venture companies to build
additional capacities, new business lines and improving operating efficiencies.
HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL)
o Scheduled Commercial operation was declared on 22nd June 2026.
o The refinery was dedicated to the Nation by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 4th
July 2026.
Received in-principle approval from Gujarat Maritime Board for all weather operations of
HPLNG Chhara Terminal.
Network Expansion and Outreach
Retail Outlets as on 30th June 2026: 25,160
LPG Distributors as on 30th June 2026: 6,391
PNG Connections as on 30th June 2026: 54,586
CGD Network in Q1 FY27:
o 598 inch-km of steel (Total: 15,537 inch-km), and 693 inch-km of MDPE (Total:
8399 inch-km) pipeline laid.
New Initiatives
Samriddhi 2.0 – In FY26, HPCL had launched Samriddhi 1.0, a structured EBITDA
improvement programme, which delivered accruals of the order of ₹1,691 Crore for the
Company. Building on this success, HPCL has now launched Samriddhi 2.0, an enterprise-
wide programme targeting at an EBITDA improvement by ₹1,500 Crore, out of which ₹1,000
Crore is targeted as accrual for FY27.

As of 30th June 2026, HP Green R&D Centre (HPGRDC) has filed a total number of 787
patents, out of which 320 have been granted.
Non-Fuel Business:
HPCL signed strategic partnerships with Burger King, Travel Food Services, Devyani
International, FoodMojo, Chai Fast, Araku Coffee, SARAS and Safal to strengthen the
Non-fuel Business portfolio.
HPCL, in collaboration with Petromin, is creating a network of world-class Quick Vehicle
Care Centres at its Retail Outlets to enhance customer convenience. HPCL has envisaged
the development of 1,000 such Vehicle Care Centres across the country over the next 3
years, with a target of commissioning 100 centres during FY27.
Project Abhyuday 2.0 - a key initiative launched to drive volume growth and secure market
leadership at select 4,928 retail outlets. Specific outlet-level initiatives alongwith
Modernization and Infrastructure Upgrades shall be executed under the program to propel
growth.
HPCL is embarking on the next wave enterprise-wide Digital Transformation program to build
a connected, intelligent, and future-ready energy enterprise. Leveraging Artificial Intelligence
(AI), Agentic AI, Advanced Analytics, Digital Twins, Industrial IoT, Cloud Platforms,
Computer Vision, Robotics & Drones, and Intelligent Process Automation, HPCL is
transforming its refining, supply chain, marketing, and corporate operations.
Sustainability and Energy Transition
Retail Energy Transition:
o CNG Outlets as on 30th June 2026: 2,289
o Solarized Retail Outlets as on 30th June 2026: 23,928 – 95% of outlets powered by
renewables
o EV Charging Stations as on 30th June 2026: 5,806
During the quarter, HPCL commissioned solar projects at Jalgaon (10.4 MWp) and Jhansi
(6.5 MWp)
