Dear Sir, Sub : Clarification /Confirmation on news item appearing in “Media/Publication”. This has reference to your letter/e-mail Ref. No. NSE/CM/Surveillance/17637 dated 30 September 2026 seeking clarification on the news item appearing in The Hindu titled “Indian Oil plans to launch packaged drinking water under own brand across 43,000 fuel outlets.” In this regard, we would like to submit that the initiative is a routine commercial proposal to augment the Non-Fuel Revenue (NFR) of the Company. IndianOil continuously explores various business opportunities and customer-centric initiatives in the ordinary course of business to earn NFR by leveraging its extensive Retail Outlet (RO) network. The Company has only floated an Expression of Interest (EoI) to seek interest of the aggregators for the business proposal. The initiative, if implemented across the RO’s in phases, would not have a material financial impact on the Company when viewed in the context of Company’s scale of Operations, Revenue (consolidated revenue of Rs. 9,01,452 crore during 2025-26), Profitability (consolidated profit Rs. 43,667 crore for 2025-26), Net Worth (Rs. 2,25,547 on 31.03.26) and overall business activities. We trust the above clarifies the position Thanking you, Yours faithfully, For Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Kamal Kumar Gwalani) Company Secretary
