Brief details of dispute/litigation The Show Cause Notice has proposed revision of the turnover based on incorrect calculation of yield from raw material to finished product and has proposed treating the turnover reflected in Form 26AS as taxable turnover of the Company. Further, the Show Cause Notice has proposed denial of input tax credit due to loss of moisture in the raw material. The proposed tax demand is Rs.24,98,84,511 for FY 2022–23, along with interest and 10% penalty. Expected financial implications, if The Show Cause Notice will not be sustained as the any, due to compensation, penalty demand is due to incorrect calculations and against the etc provisions of law. The Company has necessary supporting documents as well as legal precedents which will clearly prove the allegations wrong. It will have no major financial impact on the Company.
