Difamilast was originally discovered by Otsuka Pharmaceutical and licensed to Acrotech Biopharma for U.S. commercialization. The launch marks Acrotech’s entry into the U.S. dermatology market and expands the company’s commercial presence into a new strategic therapeutic area. To support the launch of ADQUEY and its long-term ambitions in dermatology, Acrotech has established a dedicated dermatology business unit with specialized commercial capabilities across marketing, sales and field-based engagement. The product will compete in a market estimated to be around US$ 1.3 billion for the twelve months ending July 2026, according to IQVIA MAT. “The launch of ADQUEY is an important milestone for Acrotech and marks our entry into the U.S. dermatology market with a differentiated treatment option for patients living with atopic dermatitis,” said Ashish Anvekar, President of Acrotech Biopharma. “We are building more than a commercial organization around a single product.
