He was honoured with 2 National Awards during his tenure as Commissioner of the Coimbatore Corporation for the transformation effected through his focus on e-governance. He was also awarded as "Best Collector" during his tenure as Collector of Erode recognizing his work for the rural development and welfare of the differently abled.
