We wish to inform you that the Hon’ble Supreme Court, vide its order dated July 15, 2026 in SLP(C) No. 24361-24364/2023, has directed the Petitioner, Jagran Prakashan Limited, to deposit the award amount insofar as Respondent No. 1 being Amar Kumar Singh and Respondent No. 2 being Kishan Lal are concerned. The award amount has to be deposited within a period of four weeks from July 15, 2026, being the date on which the said order was passed. The Hon’ble Supreme Court has further clarified that the aforesaid deposit shall neither be construed as a concession on the part of the Petitioner nor have any binding effect on any of the pending proceedings. Further, the order states that the prayer sought for by the respondent workmen for release of the amount has been rejected at this stage. The relevant portion of the said order is reproduced below. … in order to balance the equities, we direct the petitioner- Jagaran Prakashan Limited to deposit the award amount insofar as the respondent No. 1(Amar Kumar Singh) and respondent No. 2(Kishan Lal) are concerned. In the peculiar facts of the instant case we also make it explicitly clear that this order to deposit the amount by the petitioner would not be treated or considered as a concession on the part of the petitioner and it shall not have any binding effect in any of the pending proceedings. On such award amount being deposited within an outer limit of four weeks from today, Registry shall ensure that it is kept in a short term Fixed Deposits and it is needless to state that successful party would be eligible or entitled to receive the same with accrued interest thereon. The prayer sought for by the respondent(s)’ workman for release of the amount stands rejected at this stage… The relevant details as per the requirement of Regulation 30 of the Listing Regulations, read with SEBI Circular SEBI/HO/CFD/CFD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/123 dated July 13, 2023, are given in the enclosed ‘Annexure - A’. A copy of the aforesaid order, which was made available on July 17, 2026, is enclosed herewith. The contents of the order are self-explanatory. As informed earlier, we do not foresee any material impact of the matter on the business operations of the Company.
