Thanking you, For Easy Trip Planners Limited Priyanka Tiwari Group Company Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer Membership No.: A50412 MEDIA RELEASE EaseMyTrip Advances Vision 2030 with EMTev Electric Buses Debuting in Bhopal, Targets Annual Manufacturing of 5,000 Buses Within Five Years The Bhopal rollout marks the company’s continued expansion into tourism infrastructure, sustainable transportation, and domestic electric vehicle manufacturing. New Delhi, 25th September 2026: EaseMyTrip, one of India’s leading online travel-tech platforms, has marked the Bhopal debut of electric buses from its electric mobility arm, Easy Green Mobility (EMTev). The company is working towards building capabilities to manufacture 5,000 electric buses annually within the next five years as part of its long-term Vision 2030 roadmap. The Bhopal rollout represents a key step in EMTev’s electric bus manufacturing and operating business. EaseMyTrip’s plans encompass an integrated mobility ecosystem covering vehicle manufacturing, fleet operations, service support, and progressive localisation of components. The electric bus programme builds on the operating experience of YOLO Bus, EMTev’s operating arm, which already operates conventional intercity buses across multiple southern Indian markets. Speaking on the development, Manoj Soni, CEO of EMTev, said, “We would like to thank the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shri Mohan Yadav Ji and the Government of MP for providing us with this opportunity to contribute to the state’s electric mobility journey. Electric mobility has to move beyond the conversation around sustainability and demonstrate a strong case for scale, reliability, and economics. At EMT EV, our focus is to build both intra and intercity electric buses that combine long-range battery technology, fast charging, advanced safety systems, and passenger comfort, while delivering a significantly lower operating cost. We believe the transition to electric mobility will be driven not only by environmental considerations but also by the long-term efficiency and total cost of ownership that these solutions can offer. Our objective is to build a scalable mobility ecosystem that can support India’s shift towards cleaner and more efficient transportation.” EMTev’s initial electric bus portfolio includes a 12-meter electric seater coach with a seating capacity of 45+D. The coach is equipped with an LFP battery offering 423.9 kWh of total energy, a PMSM motor, air suspension, EBS with ESC braking, and EHPS steering. It offers a stated range of up to 350 km and a top speed up to 100 km/h. The bus features an LFP battery pack with liquid cooling technology and supports fast charging through a dual-gun configuration. The fixed-battery architecture is designed for charging at designated charging locations. Safety and fleet intelligence are central to EMTev’s operating approach. The buses are equipped with EBS and ESC, along with camera-based monitoring systems. Through a centralised control tower, vehicle and battery data can be monitored continuously, enabling MEDIA RELEASE proactive identification of potential issues before deployment. EMTev is also developing AI- enabled driver monitoring and blind-spot detection capabilities, with ADAS features forming part of its broader technology roadmap. EMTev’s 12-meter and 13.5-meter electric bus models have received type approval. The company’s immediate focus is on fulfilling committed electric bus deliveries while strengthening the operational and service infrastructure required for future scale. With zero tailpipe emissions during operation, EMTev’s electric buses provide an alternative to conventional diesel-powered transportation and support efforts to reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The deployment also demonstrates the potential of electric mobility solutions to deliver environmental benefits alongside improved operating efficiency in intercity transportation. Progressive localisation of electric vehicle components remains a key priority for EMTev. Through a phased approach to domestic sourcing and manufacturing, the company aims to strengthen local capabilities, reduce reliance on imported components, and contribute to India’s broader electric mobility ecosystem. Increased localisation can also support domestic value creation, reduce import-related foreign exchange outflows, and strengthen resilience across the electric vehicle supply chain. As the business scales, the initiative is also expected to create employment across manufacturing, fleet operations, service support and associated ancillary activities. Adding to this, Rikant Pittie, CEO & Co-Founder, EaseMyTrip, said, “India’s transportation needs are evolving rapidly, and building reliable, sustainable mobility infrastructure will be essential to supporting the next phase of economic and tourism growth. Our Vision 2030 reflects EaseMyTrip’s intent to participate in this larger opportunity by developing businesses that extend beyond travel technology. Through EMTev, we aim to build meaningful capabilities in electric bus manufacturing, operations, and localisation, with a clear focus on scale, efficiency, and long-term value creation for India’s mobility ecosystem.” As EMTev progresses, the company will continue to strengthen its electric bus manufacturing, operating, and service capabilities while evaluating opportunities across electric commercial mobility. Its target of manufacturing 5,000 electric buses annually within the next five years reflects a long-term focus on building scale, strengthening domestic capabilities, and supporting India’s transition towards cleaner transportation. Through EMTev, EaseMyTrip is extending its role across the broader tourism infrastructure and transportation ecosystem, combining its understanding of travel and mobility with opportunities in electric commercial transportation, domestic manufacturing, and sustainable infrastructure development.
