Towers, Dalal Street, Bandra (East), Mum bai 400001 Mumbai 400051 Subject: Disclosure of material events I information under Regulations 30 of Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 Dear Sirs, Goa Carbon Limited ("the Company") wishes to inform you of the order dated 13.07.2026 passed by the Hon'ble Bombay High Court, Goa Bench, in Writ Petition No. 446 of 2026, wherein the passing of the Rectification Order dated 06.07.2026 by the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Circle-1(1), Panaji, Goa under Section 154 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 and the consequent withdrawal of the aforesaid Writ Petition has been recorded. The Company, on 29.05.2012, had filed a rectification application under Section 154 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 before the Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax, Circle-1(1), Panaji, Goa seeking rectification of an Order Giving Effect dated 18.07.2011 ("Order dated 18.07.2011") on the grounds that: (i) the Order dated 18.07.2011 failed to give full and proper effect to the binding directions contained in the order dated 18.03.2011 passed by the Hon'ble Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Panaji Bench in ITA No. 43/PNJ/98; and (ii) interest under Section 234D of the Income-tax Act, 1961, which was not applicable to the Company's case, had been erroneously levied and recovered. Thereafter, the Company filed follow-up representations dated 25.05.2019 and 25.07.2025. As a consequence thereof, a refund of Rs. 61,60,980/- has become due to the Company. As the reliefs sought in the Writ Petition had worked out upon the passing of the Rectification Order, the Company withdrew Writ Petition No. 446 of 2026. The Rectification Order dated 06.07.2026 was uploaded on the Company's Income Tax Portal on 14.07.2026 at 8:15 PM, and the order dated 13.07.2026 passed in Writ Petition No. 446 of 2026 was published on the Hon'ble Bombay High Court's website on 15.07.2026. The Company is in the process of complying with the necessary formalities to obtain the refund amount. Kindly consider the same for your records.
