Further, we wish to inform you that the Company has received an Order dated July 14, 2026, issued by the Office of the Joint Director of Industrial Safety and Health-I, Chennai, under Section 40(2) of the Factories Act, 1948 (as amended) in respect of the Company's Unit-II situated at Plot Nos. R1, R2 & R3, SIPCOT Industrial Complex, Pappankuppam, Gummidipoondi, Tiruvallur – 601201. The Order has been issued consequent to the inspection carried out by the authorities following the furnace accident that occurred at Unit-II on July 14, 2026. The Order, inter alia, directs the Company to undertake specified corrective and preventive measures, including implementation of enhanced safety protocols, repair and restoration of the affected infrastructure, and obtaining the requisite certifications prior to recommencement of operations at the facility. The Company is presently examining the contents of the aforesaid Order and has initiated action plans for implementation of the prescribed remedial and preventive measures. The Company is also in the process of preparing an appropriate response to be submitted before the concerned authorities, in accordance with applicable laws, in due course. The Company deeply regrets the incident and is extending all necessary support to the affected individuals and their families.
