Offgrid has inaugurated its first Zinc Bromide based battery (ZincGel®) pilot manufacturing facility – an initial 10 MWh demonstration line – at Hook, Hampshire, United Kingdom, on July 07, 2026. This marks the transition of the technology from laboratory innovation to commercial pilot-scale production. The establishment of a pilot manufacturing facility in the UK was one of the stated objectives of the Company’s investment in Offgrid, as disclosed in our earlier intimation. ZincGel® is a proprietary zinc-bromide battery platform developed by Offgrid Energy designed for long-duration stationary energy storage applications, including renewable energy integration, grid balancing, peak-load management, microgrids and industrial backup power. Long-Duration Energy Storage ("LDES") refers to systems capable of storing and dispatching energy for extended periods ranging from 10 hours to several days or seasons and is increasingly considered critical for bridging intermittencies in renewable energy generation and ensuring grid stability. The Company’s Bromine business synergizes directly with the zinc-bromide chemistry underlying batteries, and the facility establishes a foundation for future large-scale battery manufacturing, including the intended giga- factory in India. There is no additional financial commitment by the Company arising from this development.
