Mumbai, September 24, 2026: Genesys International Corporation Limited (NSE: GENESYS | BSE: 506109), one of India’s leading geospatial technology companies, has been awarded one of India’s largest Digital twin Spatial intelligence contracts, a ₹283 crore World Bank-funded contract to develop a comprehensive Geographic Information System (GIS) 3D digital map platform of Ahmedabad, creating a unified digital foundation for urban planning, infrastructure management and civic service delivery. This will be a continuation of the leading position Genesys is building in the Digital twin, HD mapping and Physical AI space. The project will cover approximately 625 sq km of Ahmedabad and will digitally map the city’s land parcels, properties, roads, water networks, sewerage systems, stormwater drainage infrastructure and other critical civic assets. As part of the initiative, around 25 lakh properties will be surveyed, geocoded and assigned unique digital identities, creating a comprehensive property-level spatial database for the city. Commenting on the project, Sajid Malik, Chairman and Managing Director, Genesys International, said: “Ahmedabad- like most Indian cities- is entering an important phase in its urban development, and the ability to understand the city as a connected, three-dimensional digital environment will be increasingly important. This project is not simply about a digital map; it is about building a high-precision digital representation of the city that brings together land, properties, roads, utilities and underground infrastructure on a common spatially intelligent platform. We see this as an important event towards building Spatial Intelligence for Indian cities, where accurate and continuously evolving geospatial data can enable governments to plan better, manage infrastructure more efficiently and respond to the needs of citizens with greater precision. This marks the beginning of the use of physical AI systems in urgent governance delivery. Building a Digital Foundation for Ahmedabad The project will deploy the Genesys constellation of advanced sensors to create a high- accuracy digital representation of Ahmedabad. An elevation model will be developed using orthophotography, supported by the establishment of 40 primary and 200 secondary survey control points to enhance the accuracy and consistency of the city's geospatial database. A key component of the project will be the mapping of underground civic infrastructure. Existing water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage and cable networks will be surveyed and mapped, including information relating to their location and depth. This data will be integrated into the central GIS database, enabling municipal departments to access a common spatial view of critical infrastructure. By bringing above-ground and underground infrastructure onto a unified digital platform, the project is expected to support better coordination across civic departments, improve infrastructure planning and provide more accurate information for future development and maintenance activities. From GIS Mapping to Urban Spatial Intelligence For Genesys, the Ahmedabad initiative further strengthens its growing adoption of a city-scale geospatial and Digital Twin portfolio of work.
