For WEBSOL ENERGY SYSTEM LIMITED Ashok Purohit Company Secretary & Compliance Officer Membership No. : F7490 Encl. : as above West Bengal Government Allots Land to Websol for Greenfield 4 GW Solar Cell and Module Facility Kolkata, 23 September 2026 – Websol Energy System Limited (Websol or the Company) (BSE: 517498, NSE: WEBELSOLAR), has announced that the Government of West Bengal has allotted a parcel of land measuring about 54.20 acres to the Company at Falta Industrial Park, Kolkata, West Bengal for its planned greenfield solar manufacturing facility. The new facility is planned with 4 GW of solar cell capacity and 4 GW of solar module manufacturing capacity, to be developed in two phases of 2GW each. The land allotment follows Websol’s evaluation of locations close to its existing manufacturing operations at the Falta Special Economic Zone in West Bengal. The decision to expand in West Bengal allows Websol to build on more than three decades of operating experience in the state. Its existing presence provides access to a readily available base of skilled manpower, established supplier relationships, and deep familiarity with the local ecosystem - factors expected to support faster execution than a facility built in an entirely new location. The proposed facility will also create a larger integrated manufacturing base for Websol in eastern India at a time when domestic solar manufacturing capacity is expanding to support India’s growing renewable energy requirements.
