The Company has come across a publication dated 22nd September 2026 on the website Law Text (lawtext.in) with the heading “Bombay High Court Dismisses Appeals challenging MPID Act Application in NSEL Scam Case – Held that MPID act Applies to NSEL as a Financial establishment and That Default in Repayment of Deposits Attracts Offences Under the Act”, This article, it appears, was shared and also circulated through WhatsApp several times yesterday with misleading heading, relating to proceedings concerning National Spot Exchange Limited (“NSEL”) and MPID. The Company wishes to clarify that the judgment referred in the said publication was pronounced by the Hon’ble Bombay High Court on 7th February 2025, i.e. more than a year and a half ago. The Order of Hon’ble Bombay High Court is in relation to appeals filed by Promoters and Directors of certain Brokers of NSEL who have been charge sheeted by the Economic Offences Wing, Mumbai and not in relation to challenge to MPID Act. The timing of the publication of the article appears to be suspect and was published in a convoluted and misleading manner, as it creates to give an impression that the Hon’ble Bombay High Court has delivered a fresh judgment/order against NSEL, which is clearly, not the case. The Company has observed significant intraday volatility in its stock price contemporaneously with the circulation of the said publication. The Company is examining the circumstances surrounding the publication, including whether the timing, manner and dissemination were intended, or had the effect, of creating a misleading market impression and influencing the Company's stock price.
