Limited (Insured) Tribunal: Arbitral Tribunal Facts - The insured had obtained a total of Six (6) insurance policies from Bharti AXA General Insurance Company Limited (Bharti AXA/Insurer), whose business was acquired by the Company in September 2021. In September 2021, the Insured invoked arbitration proceedings against the Insurer disputing the quantum of claim paid by erstwhile Bharti AXA. The aggregate claim amount under dispute was approximately ₹ 892.54 million. Update: The Arbitral Tribunal has passed an Arbitration Award to pay the Insured an amount of ₹ 776.73 million, plus interest at the rate of 7.5% p.a. from the date of filling of Statement of Claim until the date of payment.
