Lord’s Mark Advances AI-Powered Breast Cancer Screening Technology Towards Final Clinical Trials
Across USA, Great Britain and Europe
Technical Commi(cid:425)ee Approves Final Clinical Trial Stage; Company Targets Regulatory Clearances and
Commercial Launch by April 2027
Lord’s Mark Industries Limited, in collabora(cid:415)on with the Centre for Materials for Electronic Technology (C-MET),
has advanced its AI-powered, radia(cid:415)on-free wearable breast cancer screening technology towards its final
clinical trial stage, with trials planned across the USA, Great Britain and Europe. Developed using high-precision
thermal sensors and AI-driven temperature mapping, the technology is designed to iden(cid:415)fy abnormali(cid:415)es
associated with breast cancer in a non-invasive and radia(cid:415)on-free manner. The technology has undergone high-
accuracy and conformity tes(cid:415)ng, with Lord’s Mark Industries Limited holding exclusive rights for its
commercialisa(cid:415)on. Phase 2 trials for detec(cid:415)on of cancer at the cell level, targe(cid:415)ng 98% accuracy, will commence
from January 2027 in India, the USA, Europe and Great Britain. Various recognised medical device companies
have expressed their excitement to be part of this trial, as this could change the way cancer treatment is
approached once the technology is approved and recognised.
Breast cancer con(cid:415)nues to be a major global health challenge, with 2.4 million women diagnosed and around
694,000 deaths recorded worldwide in 2024. Against this growing burden, the global breast cancer diagnos(cid:415)cs
market was valued at USD 5.9 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 11.4 billion by 2033, growing at a
CAGR of 8.8%. Imaging currently accounts for 51.6% of the market, while advances in mammography, 3D
tomosynthesis, MRI, ultrasound, AI-assisted imaging, liquid biopsy and biomarker-based diagnos(cid:415)cs are crea(cid:415)ng
new opportuni(cid:415)es for earlier and more accurate detec(cid:415)on. With IARC projec(cid:415)ng more than 3 million new cases
annually by 2040, strengthening accessible and (cid:415)mely screening is becoming increasingly important.
The company has completed clinical trials in India, with the results demonstra(cid:415)ng accurate iden(cid:415)fica(cid:415)on of
cases evaluated during the trials. The data generated through these trials will contribute to the technology’s
ongoing clinical and regulatory evalua(cid:415)on. The Technical Commi(cid:425)ee has now approved the conduct of the final
clinical trials across the USA, Great Britain and Europe, subject to the requirements of the respec(cid:415)ve
jurisdic(cid:415)ons.
The Commi(cid:425)ee is also of the view that the technology has the poten(cid:415)al to iden(cid:415)fy breast cancer-related
abnormali(cid:415)es at an early stage, subject to successful comple(cid:415)on of the final clinical trials and independent
verifica(cid:415)on.
The technology combines advanced thermal sensors with AI-based analy(cid:415)cs to iden(cid:415)fy abnormal temperature
pa(cid:425)erns. Unlike conven(cid:415)onal screening approaches involving radia(cid:415)on, the wearable is designed to be painless,
portable and infrastructure-light. Being ba(cid:425)ery-operated, the technology can poten(cid:415)ally be deployed even in
areas with limited or no access to electricity, enabling breast cancer screening to reach hospitals, clinics,
community centres, remote villages and underserved regions across India and global markets.
Poten(cid:415)al to Transform Breast Cancer Screening
Following successful comple(cid:415)on of the final clinical trials and regulatory evalua(cid:415)on, the technology could
poten(cid:415)ally offer an alterna(cid:415)ve approach to conven(cid:415)onal breast cancer screening and expand access to screening
across diverse healthcare se(cid:427)ngs.
The technology is currently progressing through regulatory evalua(cid:415)on in India, with CDSCO approval in process.
The company is also working towards the applicable regulatory requirements for markets across Europe, Great
Britain and the USA, including relevant European conformity requirements and US FDA regulatory pathways, as
applicable.
The company is targe(cid:415)ng comple(cid:415)on of the final clinical trials and key regulatory milestones before March 2027,
subject to clinical outcomes, independent evalua(cid:415)on and regulatory (cid:415)melines. Lord’s Mark is targe(cid:415)ng
commercial placement of the product by April 2027, subject to successful clinical valida(cid:415)on and applicable
regulatory approvals.
Seeking Integra(cid:415)on into Na(cid:415)onal Screening and Insurance Frameworks
Lord’s Mark has also made representa(cid:415)ons to the respec(cid:415)ve authori(cid:415)es seeking considera(cid:415)on of the technology
for inclusion in na(cid:415)onal breast cancer screening programmes.
Representa(cid:415)ons have also been made for considera(cid:415)on of insurance coverage through the Insurance Regulatory
and Development Authority of India (IRDAI). The objec(cid:415)ve is to explore mechanisms that could improve
affordability and accessibility of breast cancer screening and encourage greater awareness and par(cid:415)cipa(cid:415)on
among women.
Sachidanand Upadhyay, Managing Director, Lord’s Mark Industries Limited, said, “The approval of the final
clinical trial stage marks an important milestone in taking this technology from innova(cid:415)on towards broader
clinical valida(cid:415)on. With successful trials already completed in India and further trials planned across the USA,
Great Britain and Europe, our objec(cid:415)ve is to establish a robust clinical and regulatory pathway for an accessible,
radia(cid:415)on-free and affordable breast cancer screening solu(cid:415)on. We remain focused on taking this technology to
a global pla(cid:414)orm, subject to successful clinical valida(cid:415)on and regulatory approvals.”
The collabora(cid:415)on with C-MET brings together C-MET’s research and development exper(cid:415)se with Lord’s Mark’s
manufacturing and distribu(cid:415)on capabili(cid:415)es, with the broader objec(cid:415)ve of developing and commercialising
indigenous healthcare technology at scale.
Lord’s Mark intends to make the technology increasingly accessible and affordable, with the long-term objec(cid:415)ve
of suppor(cid:415)ng wider breast cancer screening across India and interna(cid:415)onal markets.
