Intimation regarding ESG Rating

It is informed that the Company has neither engaged the above-mentioned agency for preparation of the said Report nor the report has been finalised in consultation with the Company. The Crisil ESG Score of 57 and Crisil Core ESG score of 65 provided to the Company is low and not commensurate with its efforts in respect of decarbonization initiatives & governance structure, as well as detailed disclosures made in Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR). The Company has made elaborate disclosures on Scope 3 emissions and has a target to achieve net zero Scope 1 and 2 operational emissions by 2038. In spite of all these valiant efforts, the Company has been evaluated with a below average score of 44 out of 100 on Environmental parameters. Further, the report contained a factual error w.r.t. attendance of Independent Directors in Board and Board Level Committee (BLCs) meetings. As such there was 100% attendance of independent directors in Board and BLC meetings, except leave of absence in one BLC meeting by an Independent Director (~92.30%).
