Neogen Chemicals’ raises ~INR 600 Crore via its first-ever QIP; Issue
Oversubscribed by 6.5x
● Demand from marquee domestic and global institutional investors, both existing as
well as new investors
● Proceeds to be utilized for repayment/ pre-payment, in full or part, of certain
borrowings availed by our Company, funding our long-term working capital
requirements and General corporate purposes
Neogen Chemicals Limited (“Neogen” / “the Company”), one of India’s leading manufacturers
of specialty bromine chemicals, lithium chemicals, and advanced battery materials has
successfully completed its first-ever Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) of equity shares.
The issue was oversubscribed by more than 6.5x and raised approximately INR 600 crore.
The QIP attracted strong participation from a diverse mix of renowned domestic and global
institutional investors, including leading mutual funds, AIF, NBFC, insurance companies, and
foreign portfolio investors, such as, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Invesco Mutual Fund, Mirae
Asset Mutual Fund, SBI Life Insurance, White Oak Capital Mutual Fund, Axis Mutual Fund and
Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
Pursuant to the QIP, the Company allotted 26,60,753 equity shares of face value of INR 10
each at an issue price of INR 2,255 per equity share (including a share premium of INR 2,245
per equity share), which is above the floor price of INR 2,189.73 per equity share.
Consequently, the paid-up equity share capital expanded from INR 27.38 crore (2,73,81,674
equity shares of INR 10 each) to approximately INR 30.04 crore (3,00,42,427 equity shares of
INR 10 each).
The object of this capital raise is to reduce its outstanding indebtedness, debt servicing costs
and improve the debt-to-equity ratio. This would provide financial flexibility to fund
incremental business requirement and growth opportunities.

The Issue was managed by Inga Ventures Private Limited, IIFL Capital Services Limited
(formerly IIFL Securities Limited) and Kotak Mahindra Capital Company Limited as Lead
Managers. Trilegal acted as legal counsel to Neogen Chemicals, with JSA Advocates &

Products

customer, but process know-how and technical specifications are developed in-house.
The Company has announced plans to utilise its three decades of experience in Lithium Chemistry
to manufacture Lithium-Ion battery materials with an initial investment plan to manufacture
electrolytes and Lithium electrolyte salts.
Facilities
The Company operates out of its four manufacturing facilities located in Mahape, Navi Mumbai
in Maharashtra, Dahej SEZ, Bharuch, Karakhadi, Vadodara in Gujarat and Patancheru, Sangareddy,
Telangana (In January 2025, Buli Chemicals India Private Limited was merged with Neogen
Chemicals, their facility was located in Patancheru).
Neogen Chemicals Limited also has a wholly owned subsidiary – Neogen Ionics Limited, dedicated
to projects related to battery materials. Neogen Ionics Limited is the first manufacturer in India
to commercially supply lithium-ion battery electrolytes at commercial scale to a giga-scale battery
manufacturing facility.
