(BSE: 543273) (NSE: KMEW) Press Release Annexure - A KMEW Secures Its Third Green Tug Contract Mumbai, India | September 19, 2026: Knowledge Marine & Engineering Works Limited (“KMEW”) (BSE: 543273 | NSE: KMEW), an integrated marine infrastructure and dredging company, is pleased to announce that it has secured its Third Green Tug contract from Mumbai Port Authority, one of the Major Ports of India. The contract, valued at approximately ₹279.33 crore (including taxes), involves the construction and hiring of a battery-operated Green Tug for a tenure of 15 years. With this order, KMEW has further strengthened its presence in India's emerging Green Tug segment, having won three Green Tug contracts awarded by Major Ports within a relatively short period. These contracts represent the Company's growing portfolio of next-generation marine assets with long-term operating commitments. Building a Scalable Green Maritime Platform The latest order strongly adds to the two Green Tug contracts secured earlier by KMEW and will be supported through its subsidiary, Knowledge Shipyard Limited, which is also undertaking the construction of the Company's other Green Initiatives. The simultaneous construction of multiple Green Tugs at a common shipbuilding platform provides KMEW with an opportunity to develop greater standardisation, repeatability and execution efficiencies, while building specialised technical capabilities in the construction of next- generation marine assets. The Company intends to leverage its integrated capabilities across shipbuilding, marine operations and asset management throughout the lifecycle of these vessels—from construction and commissioning to operations and maintenance. This integrated approach is expected to create a scalable platform for KMEW as it expands its presence beyond its established dredging and marine services businesses into specialised shipbuilding and next-generation marine infrastructure. From Dredging to Next-Generation Marine Infrastructure The Green Tug business represents an important extension of KMEW's existing marine capabilities. Over the years, KMEW has developed experience in operating and managing a diversified fleet of specialised marine assets across dredging, port operations and allied marine services. The Company's growing Green Tug portfolio enables it to leverage this operational experience while developing capabilities in advanced vessel construction and long-term asset management.
