(“AVNB”), a pulp manufacturing Joint Venture of our Company, based in Canada. AVNB operates two dissolving grade pulp mills located at Nackawic and Atholville in New Brunswick, Canada, with a total capacity of ~332K TPA. The Company holds a 45% stake in AVNB, with a total investment of Rs. 187.41 crore (comprising of equity share of Rs 153.04 crore and preference share of Rs 34.37 crore). AVNB has informed us that it is undertaking the temporary idling of its pulp operations facility located at Nackawic, New Brunswick, around the end of October 2026. This facility has a capacity of ~190K TPA of dissolving-grade pulp. This decision follows a careful assessment of the continuing challenges presented by the prevailing market conditions and broader macroeconomic factors.
