Chennai, September 16, 2026: Orient Green Power Company Limited (OGPCL), a leading renewable energy producer in India, announces that rating agency CRISIL Ratings Limited (CRISIL) has reviewed and upgraded the credit ratings for its material subsidiary, Beta Wind Farm Private Limited. Beta Wind Farm Private Limited (BETA) Beta Wind Farm is a key subsidiary of OGPCL and operates 241.6 MW of wind energy projects across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Karnataka. ● Rating Improvement: CRISIL upgrades the rating of Beta to CRISIL BBB / Stable (upgraded from CRISIL BBB- / Positive) on the Rupee term loan facility of Rs. 617.79 crore availed from Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) (outstanding IREDA amount as on date Rs.456.68 crores (Rs.478.74 crores as on March 31, 2026)). This upgrade is a one notch improvement from the CRISIL BBB-/ Positive assigned by Crisil earlier. This revision reaffirms the rating assigned by ICRA Limited to Beta on September 08, 2026. ● This upgrade is assigned after considering the healthy operational performance resulting from improved generation and cash accruals while strengthening the debt servicing capacity of BETA.
