Dear Sir/Ma’am,
In furtherance to our earlier intimations, we wish to inform you that the Company and certain of its
subsidiaries namely AKS Medical & Research Centre Private Limited (“AKS”) and Ramraja
Multispeciality Hospital & Trauma Centre Private Limited (“Ramraja”) have received final
assessment orders from the Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Central Circle-28, Delhi, resulting
in aggregate demands of Rs. 29.66 Crores plus interest of Rs. 11.42 Crores in respect of the
Company for all opened assessment years i.e. AY 2014-15 to AY 2024-25, Rs. 8.50 Crores plus
interest of Rs. 2.48 Crores in respect of AKS for all opened assessment years i.e. AY 2022-23 to AY
2024-25 and Rs. 5.64 Crores plus interest of Rs. 2.04 Crores in respect of Ramraja for AY 2023-24
respectively. With the passing of the aforesaid orders, the assessment proceedings for the
assessment years mentioned above stand concluded.
Pursuant to advice received from external tax consultants, the Company and its subsidiaries are in
the process of filing appeals before the CIT (Appeals) against the aforesaid assessment orders for
the respective assessment years.
Based on internal assessment, the Company is confident of obtaining substantial relief in the
appellate proceedings and consequently a significant reduction in the aforesaid demands.
Accordingly, the Company is of the view that no provision is presently required in the financial
statements in this regard.
