BURGER KING® INDIA HITS 600 RESTAURANTS, MARKING A MILESTONE IN ITS GROWTH STORY
From its first restaurant in Saket, Delhi, in 2014 to 600 restaurants across India, Burger King® marks a
major milestone in its journey of bringing its iconic taste, innovation and value closer to consumers.
Delhi, September 10th 2026 : Burger King®, one of the world’s leading fast-food brands, today marks a
significant milestone in its India journey with the opening of its 600th restaurant in GTB Nagar, Delhi.
The milestone brings the brand's journey full circle back to the city where Burger King® opened its
first-ever India restaurant in 2014.
With the opening of its 600th restaurant, Burger King® India now has 100+ restaurants across Delhi
NCR and a presence across 140+ cities in India, strengthening its footprint across metros and emerging
cities, while continuing to build a strong connect with India's young and evolving QSR audience.
The journey has been marked by several strategic steps to scale mindfully, build a strong network of
supply partners, innovation, strong value proposition, adding the BK Café® business and rapid digital
adoption as we strengthened brand relevance across consumer segments and occasions.
The grand opening in Delhi was nothing short of a celebration. With vibrant festive décor, an opening
ceremony with engaging activities, the event brought families and food lovers together. The GTB
Nagar restaurant is a fitting addition to this journey, bringing Burger King® to one of Delhi's vibrant
and youthful neighbourhoods. The new restaurant offers guests the brand's signature menu, including
the iconic WHOPPER®, alongside burgers, wraps, snacks, desserts and beverages.
Commenting on the milestone, Rajeev Varman, Group CEO and Whole-Time Director,
Restaurant Brands Asia, said:
“Our 600th restaurant is a testament to the love and support we get from our guests, vendor partners
and most importantly each and every one of our restaurant employees. I remain thankful to all of
them for their invaluable contributions. Every new restaurant brings the brand closer to more guests,
while enabling us to build greater relevance across markets and occasions. As we continue to scale,
we are creating efficiencies that position the business for sustainable and responsible expansion and
the next phase of our growth journey.”
From introducing Indian favourites across its menu to creating bold limited-time offerings, Burger
King® has consistently experimented with flavours and formats to keep the menu exciting. Its
innovation-led approach has seen the brand introduce globally inspired ranges such as its Korean
Range, Peri-Peri Range, alongside a growing portfolio of burgers, snacks, desserts and beverages
tailored for Indian consumers, while continuing to build through its value-led offerings, digital-first
ordering ecosystem and formats designed for different consumption occasions.
