Sub: Intimation under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure
Requirements) Regulations, 2015
This is in reference to our earlier intimation to Stock Exchange(s) dated January 01, 2024
against Order-in-Original (“O-I-O”) passed by Joint Commissioner, GST department, Tamil
Nadu, which levied a penalty of Rs. 3,01,50,149/- along with tax demand and applicable
interest on various GST issues for the period FY 2017-18 to FY 2021-22.
The Bank is now in receipt of Order-in-Appeal (“O-I-A”/“Order”) from Principal
Commissioner (Appeals-II), which has reduced the penalty demand from Rs. 3,01,50,149/- to
Rs. 2,32,68,479/- along with tax demand and applicable interest, due to reduction in demand
in Bank’s favor vide O-I-A.
The Bank believes that it has adequate factual and legal grounds to reasonably substantiate
its position in the remaining matters and at this juncture it does not expect any material impact
on financial, operation or other activities due to the said Order. The Bank will take necessary
legal remedy against the said order including contesting the Order through appeal within the
prescribed timelines.
Information as required under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure
Requirements) Regulations, 2015 read with Schedule III and the SEBI Master Circular No.
HO/49/14/14(7)2025-CFD-POD2/I/3762/2026 dated January 30, 2026, on the above-
mentioned Order is enclosed as Annexure A.
