TVS MOTOR COMPANY BRINGS FLAGSHIP
ADVENTURE TECHNOLOGY TO THE A2 CLASS
WITH RTX 300
Built on the new RT-XD4 platform, the RTX 300 promises a new spirit of
exploration, infused from decades of race engineering
With a strong character of ride experience at its DNA, the RTX 300 is
loaded with technologies that are reserved for machines twice its
capacity
Singapore/Tuscany, September 7, 2026 - TVS Motor Company, part of TVS VENU, today
unveiled the RTX 300, its most fully equipped adventure trail motorcycle for Europe.
Developed on the new RT-XD4 engine platform for adventure riders and A2 licence
holders, the RTX 300 enters the mid-capacity trail segment with a level of standard
technology unmatched in its class.
The RTX 300 is the clearest expression yet of what TVS Motor’s European strategy is built
on: engineering developed for some of the world’s most demanding road conditions,
brought to European riders without the compromises usually attached to an accessible
price point. Rally-inspired design and a steel trellis chassis built in harmony with the
Dynamics of a Discoverist rider make it as capable off the beaten track as it is inviting on
the road.
Thanks to its weight distribution, long-travel suspension and upright riding position, the RTX
300 offers reassuring handling for riders taking their first steps on a bigger machine, while
retaining the performance and adjustability that experienced riders expect. It is a motorcycle
designed for two groups at once: the youthful and tech savvy A2 licence holders moving up,
and returning riders coming back to motorcycling who are unwilling to give up the soulful
rides on two wheels they have grown used to.
Speaking at the launch, Peyman Kargar, President, International Business, TVS Motor
Company said, “Europe is our new frontier, and TVS Motor is bringing RTX 300 for the
most experienced riders and the most demanding regulation in the world. The RTX 300: a
motorcycle that carries the technology, the build quality and the warranty of a far more
expensive machine, and makes it available to riders at the beginning of their journey. It is a
statement of where we intend to be in this market.”
“Italy is one of the most knowledgeable motorcycle markets in Europe, and riders here
judge a machine by how it behaves on the road. That is why we chose to put the RTX 300
into the hands of the press on Tuscan roads. The ride modes, the suspension travel and
the connectivity are all there as standard because Italian riders would notice immediately if
they were missing,” added Giovanni Notarbartolo di Furnari, General Manager, Italy,
TVS Motor Company.
The five key strengths
Adventure-inspired design and ergonomics: a substantial, athletic silhouette,
monovolume design with a modern dual-LED headlight that is commanding and
assertive. The upright riding position, tall windscreen and weight distribution deliver
comfort both seated on the road and standing off on a trail.
Trellis chassis and suspension: a tubular steel trellis frame with a 41 mm upside-
down fork, 180 mm of suspension travel front and rear, and 200 mm of ground
clearance, built to take poor surfaces and trails in its stride.
Comprehensive standard equipment: cruise control, bi-directional quickshifter and
tyre pressure monitoring, depending on version.
Rider assistance and safety: an electronic throttle control, combined with
advanced chassis controls offers four ride modes at the disposal of the rider on the
fly. Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally modes, make available calibrated power delivery,
traction control and ABS control as demanded by the surface underneath.
Digital cockpit and map mirroring: high daylight-brightness 5-inch TFT display
mirrors GPS maps directly through the SmartXonnect app, alongside music and call
management (depending on version).
Four modes, four ways to ride
The four ride modes are four distinct characters, each built around how the motorcycle
should respond to the control demand of the rider.
Urban softens throttle response for stop-start traffic and keeps traction control at its
most conservative. It is where a rider new to a 300 will spend their first weeks and
makes the daily ride a great convenience.
Rain retains the softer throttle response and raises ABS protection for slippery wet or
cold surfaces.
Tour opens up the full linear power delivery for motorways and mountain-pass riding,
with cruise control and the quickshifter making long rides to travel distances, explore
places with no fatigue.
Rally gives the throttle to respond with its full potent, cuts traction control intervention
and allows rear ABS to be switched off for loose surfaces, leaving the full control and
fun at rider’s desire
For a returning rider, the mode switch replaces the mechanical symphony that once had to
be learnt by feel. For an A2 rider, it is a safety net that comes off gradually, at their own
pace.
Vimal Sumbly, SVP and Business Head, TVS Premium and TVS Racing said, “The RTX
300 was built by a team that has spent years making premium motorcycles for riders who
use them hard and every day. Europe asks different questions of a machine, and answering
them meant changing the suspension and the electronics. The standard we build to is the
same in Chennai as it is in Tuscany.”
Warranty and support
The RTX 300 is supplied with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty and two years of
roadside assistance.
