Press release
Shiprocket Q1 FY27: Revenue up 34% YoY with Emerging Business growing +70%.
Adjusted EBITDA scales to ₹89 Mn
Gurugram, 7 September, 2026: Shiprocket, India’s largest ecommerce enablement platform for MSMEs, today reported
consolidated results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (“Q1 FY27”), its first as a listed company. Revenue from operations grew
34% year-on-year to ₹5,921 Mn and contribution margin expanded 124 bps to 19.4%. Adjusted EBITDA scaled to ₹89 Mn, up from
₹10 Mn a year earlier, as the platform's two-segment model, a cash-generative Core Business and a fast-compounding Emerging
Business, continued to pull in the same direction. Net loss narrowed by 24% YoY to ₹137 Mn.
The Core Business generated ₹527 Mn of Adjusted EBITDA at a 12.8% margin. The company continued to invest in the Emerging
Business, which grew revenue 70% year-on-year and lifted the emerging segment’s contribution margin too, from 9.3% to 15.3%.
The Company remained Adjusted EBITDA positive throughout.
Q1 FY27 highlights
• Platform scale: The company has trailing twelve month GMV of ₹346,618 Mn; delivering trailing twelve month unique
transactions of 216 Mn and serves 224,314 active merchants.
• Segment Performance: Core Business revenue grew 22% YoY to ₹4,117 Mn. Emerging Business (Checkout and marketing
solutions, Cross-border and Omnichannel solutions) grew 70% YoY to ₹1,804 Mn. Emerging Business grew 3.2 times faster
than Core Business and now contributes 30% of revenue, up from 24% a year ago.
• Profitability: Overall Contribution margin up 43% YoY to ₹1,151 Mn (19.4% of revenue) and Adjusted EBITDA up from
₹10Mn to ₹89 Mn. Core Business generated ₹527 Mn of Adjusted EBITDA, 12.8% of its revenue, with Contribution margin at
21.2%. Emerging Business Contribution margin lifted from 9.3% to 15.3% and its rupee contribution grew from ₹98 Mn to
₹277 Mn. Emerging Business EBITDA margin improved from (-38%) to (-24%).
Two engines, one platform
Shiprocket runs on two engines built to compound each other. The Core Business remains the platform's cash engine, holding a
steady contribution margin while funding investment in Emerging. The Emerging Business is where growth is compounding
fastest, as Checkout and marketing solutions, scaled ~193% YoY. Emerging Business absolute contribution margin nearly tripled,
and its contribution margin is now 15.3%.
Built like a tech-first platform
Shiprocket's Q1 was defined by product releases that read more like a consumer internet roadmap:
• New & Improved RADAR AI-powered courier intelligence that flags SLA breaches and RTO risk at a pincode level, before a
seller dispatches an order.
• AI Ads stack an AI Ads Platform for static, editable, shorts and 360° creatives, plus AI Assist and AI Calling for order
confirmation.
• Appointment-based delivery: Appointment-based cargo deliveries to quick commerce dark stores, with integrations into
platforms such as Blinkit and Zepto for intelligent orchestration and seamless automation.
Shiprocket is steadily working on its vision to be the operating system Indian MSMEs run their commerce on.
Management commentary
Commenting on the results, Saahil Goel, Managing Director and CEO of Shiprocket, said:
“India's e-commerce market is expected to more than double to $180–200 billion by 2030. Almost none of the merchants driving
that growth will build their own logistics, payments and growth stack. They will rent it. That is what we are building.
India has roughly 60Mn MSMEs, the majority of which are the long tail of commerce and have never had infrastructure built for
their scale, and they will not get it from a single product. They need a stack they can take pieces from and grow into. Q1 results
are consistent with how we are building: revenue up 34%, Adjusted EBITDA up to ₹89 Mn versus ₹10 Mn, and our newer
businesses now 30% of revenue against 24% a year ago. We are only a few years into a decade-long build, and we continue to
double down and invest behind unlocking the true potential of India's businesses.”
Adding to this, Tanmay Kumar, CFO of Shiprocket, said:
"Some of the lines we have invested in, like Ads, barely existed two years ago. This quarter, Ads and Marketing Solutions grew
around 193%, and Emerging as a whole grew 70%, and lifted its contribution margin from 9.3% to 15.3%.
The overall expansion in profitability alongside 34% revenue growth is an outcome of both our Core and Emerging engines
working together. The Core Business generated ₹527 million of Adjusted EBITDA at a 12.8% margin against 12.3% a year ago. We
put part of that back into Checkout, Cross-border and Omnichannel solutions, and the company closed the quarter with Adjusted
EBITDA of ₹89 million against ₹10 million a year earlier. Merchants are choosing more of our stack each year, and every product
we add helps support the cross-sell as our portfolio widens.”
