Central Bank of India (CENTRALBK) has announced a change in the composition of its Board of Directors. The Central Government has nominated Shri Chandradeep Kumar Jha as a Director on the Board, effective immediately. He replaces Shri Baldeo Purushartha, who has ceased to be a Director. This appointment was made under the powers conferred by the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970. For investors, this signifies a routine change in the bank's governance, reflecting the government's role in appointing directors to public sector banks.
